No matter the size of your goals, you are bound to run into tough times along your path to success. Each setback takes a toll on your total amount of subconscious motivation – that inner drive that gets you up in the morning with the intention of making the day yours. When you’ve been beaten down too many times, you begin to lose sight of why you are so excited to wake up, why you push for every sale in the field or rep in the gym, and most tragically, why you even bother getting back up after getting knocked down again and again.
The key to getting back up isn’t to wait for the universe or some deity you believe in to give you a break. The key is to hold your vision consciously and take control. Remind yourself day in and day out why you started, what’s in store for your future if you accomplish what you set out to accomplish, and that it takes time to do something great. Tell your enemies, tell the world, and tell yourself – Nothing will stop me.
